Crafts, Crafts, More Crafts by Kathy
by Kathy Bland – youth worker
I love it when a craft book has lots of craft ideas in it (instead of being filled with general waffle and unnecessary stuff!).
This is an excellent example of a book with no frills. There are 101 craft ideas, nicely linked to a Bible verse or theme.
Each craft simply explains what you need and how to make it.
What is sadly lacking are some photos or pictures of what the end result should look like, but that doesn’t stop it being a great collection of craft ideas at a very affordable price.
As well as crafts linked to Old and New Testament stories e.g. Noah’s footprint rainbows,Palm Sunday palm trees, stone water jars (John 2:6) and weather charts (Matthew 8:26), there is also a fantastic section of crafts for learning memory verses.
These include memory verses on t-shirts, pencil pots, paper chains and lots more. Other sections include people crafts, animal crafts and a miscellaneous section which includes scrolls, drums, paper lanterns and bath salts.
This is a book that anyone working with children and young people would benefit from having on their bookshelf. I’m hoping that a sequel will follow soon!
PUBLISHERS NOTE – The second edition includes Photographs of the Crafts
